POSTPONED: At A Loss: A Grief Writing Workshop
- This event has passed.
Due to COVID-19 health and safety concerns, this event will be postponed. Information about the rescheduled event will be announced at a later date. Please contact Leila with questions or concerns.
Grief has a habit of rendering us mute. But when we put our sadness into words, we tap into the healing process and begin to make sense of our pain. Writing our grief can reveal the darkest corners of our loss, or simply put tears on paper.
In a workshop led by essayist Karen Paul, read works from authors who write about grief, write from prompts, and share your words with the group. Journals will be provided as well as ground rules to ensure a safe, comfortable, and supportive writing and sharing environment.
Karen is an essayist and memoirist whose work has been published in Lilith, The Washington Post, Modern Loss, and other sites. She teaches grief writing workshops and is writing a memoir on grief and widowhood.
No one will be turned away from any of our classes due to lack of funds. For more information, please contact our Religious Programming Associate, Leila.
