Self-proclaimed as a “collective of composers, singers and artists,” the Electrotango, Rio de la Plata-based band consists of eight musicians from Argentina and Uruguay. One of the most notable names in the group, Gustavo Santaolalla (guitar, percussion, and vocals), composed the soundtracks for the films Amores Perros, 21 Grams, North Country, and The Motorcycle Diaries, and won the Academy Award for his composition of the scores to Brokeback Mountain and Babel. Santaolalla has also received nine Latin GRAMMYs and one GRAMMY award. The South American band’s performance is one of only four stops on its exclusive upcoming tour.
