Lo-fi kingpin Bill Callahan brings his parsed and gritty rock on a tour for his latest album of new songs since 2009’s Sometimes I Wish We Were An Eagle.

His singing is strikingly characterized by his baritone voice and a style of delivery without being over-emotional. Melodically and lyrically he tends to eschew the verse-chorus approach favored by many contemporary songwriters, preferring instead a more free-form approach relying less on melodic and lyrical repetition.

Callahan’s performance accompanies the release of his newest album, Dream River, easily the most sensual and soulful of his career.
