In Hoax: Donald Trump, Fox News, and the Dangerous Distortion of Truth, Brian Stelter—the chief media correspondent for CNN Worldwide and anchor of “Reliable Sources”—offers his view on one of the biggest stories in American politics right now: the relationship between FOX News and President Trump. Over the course of two years, Stelter spoke with over 250 current and former Fox News insiders in an effort to understand the inner workings of Rupert Murdoch’s multibillion-dollar media empire. His reporting reveals a behind-the-scenes look at how the lines between a TV network and a White House have intersected.

Prior to joining CNN in 2013, Stelter was a media reporter at The New York Times. His first book, the New York Times bestseller Top of the Morning, inspired the Apple TV+ drama “The Morning Show.” Stelter is also the executive producer of the HBO documentary After Truth: Disinformation and the Cost of Fake News. In conversation with press critic Jay Rosen, who teaches journalism at New York University and writes the blog, PressThink.
