Have you ever wondered what keeps Supreme Court Justice and octogenarian Ruth Bader Ginsburg so sprightly? She owes it in part to the twice-weekly workouts she does with her personal trainer, Bryant Johnson, someone she’s called “the most important person” in her life. Justice Ginsburg began training with Johnson in 1999, at the urging of her late husband, after she was treated for colon cancer.

The RBG Workout: How She Stays Strong . . . and You Can Too! walks you through how to do Justice Ginsburg’s workout—from planks to squats to (full) pushups—in the comfort of your home. Each exercise is demonstrated with full-color illustrations of the Justice in workout gear and also includes tips from the bench and sidebars with Johnson’s wisdom on getting fit and staying healthy. Johnson presents the workout exactly as he does it with Justice Ginsburg, along with some variations to accommodate skill level, personal preferences, and the equipment available.

Johnson counts among his clients numerous Federal Court justices, judges, attorneys, and clerks. In addition to his day job as a court clerk, Johnson has been a member of the U.S. Army for over thirty years, twelve of those as a member of a Special Forces Airborne Unit.

In conversation with Isaac Dovere, Chief Washington Correspondent for Politico and the host of the Off Message podcast. Book signing to follow.
