During Chanukah, join us for the sixth annual night of funny, poignant, powerful, and peculiar autobiographical stories about all things Jewish, not-so-Jewish, and wanna-be Jewish.

Storytellers include:
Layla McCay – global health worker behind the Perfect Liars Club and DC’s Brit About Town blog
Max Rosenblum  stand-up comedian and founder of Last Resort Comedy
Annie Lipsitz  – tofu-frying aficionado who secretly wishes to be a motivational dancer at b’nai mitzvah parties
Matty Litwack – stand-up comic with 30% of a PhD in physics
Adam Ruben – writer, storyteller, and molecular biologist
Rabbi Hannah Goldstein – Assistant Rabbi at Temple Sinai
Nate Klass – aspiring dog owner and international educator

Hosted by Amy Saidman, SpeakeasyDC’s artistic executive director.

This will be Saidman’s sixth year producing and hosting My So-Called Jewish Life. She is widely recognized as the driving force behind the growth of contemporary autobiographical storytelling in the Washington area.  She wants you to know that, while you may not see her at shul, her Jewish street cred is boosted by the fact that she had a bat mitzvah, lived on kibbutz for a year, studied at High School in Israel, was director of a Jewish summer camp, and is regularly mistaken for being a New Yorker (which she is not. At all).
