Brazilian jazz superstar Souza joins forces with the seventeen virtuoso strings of A Far Cry to give voice to poet Carolyn Forché’s “On Earth,” a luminous meditation on life and loss, through musical settings by some of the most distinctive creative voices in indie-classical music.
Co-commissioned by A Far Cry with Washington Performing Arts, Bucknell University, Hancher Auditorium at the University of Iowa, and Florida State University’s Opening Nights Series.
