Foy Vance: The Tour
with Ryan McMullan
- This event has passed.
Hailing from Bangor, Northern Ireland, singer-songwriter Foy Vance’s music is deeply rooted in the rich musical history and aesthetic of the southern US. After independently releasing his debut album Hope in 2007, Vance quickly garnered acclaim from fans and fellow musicians alike. His second full-length album, Joy of Nothing, led to star-studded invites on tours worldwide from the likes of Ed Sheeran, Bonnie Raitt, Marcus Foster, Snow Patrol, and Sir Elton John, who executive produced his 2016 album, The Wild Swan.
Vance was the second-ever artist signed to Gingerbread Man Records, Ed Sheeran’s label division within Atlantic Records. His recent collaborations include “Galway Girl” on Ed Sheeran’s latest album and the Americana-infused track “Moonshine” featuring Kacey Musgraves. In 2019, Vance will release two new albums, From Muscle Shoals—recorded at the legendary FAME studios in Muscle Shoals, Alabama—and To Memphis, intended to be companion pieces that pay homage to the deeply-rooted soul and Americana traditions that have influenced Vance’s approach to songwriting.
