Getting Over Your Jewish Mother
- This event has passed.
From Naomi and Ruth to Joan and Melissa Rivers, the generalization is that the Jewish mother-daughter relationship is enmeshed and conflicted, yet deeply loving. As we become adults in all other aspects of our lives, holding down successful jobs, managing budgets, finding life-partners, we may feel like children when we interact with our moms.
How can we frame this dilemma and make better choices? Join Rabbi Shira Stutman and her psychologist brother, Dr. Zachariah Stutman, for a text study and discussion on mothers, daughters, the ties that bind–and the ones that need to be cut.
For women in their 20s and 30s. And for the record, we love all bubbes everywhere.
