8:30 pm – Dinner

Reflective and soulful service led by Rabbi Jesse, Rabbi Shira, and musicians Aaron Shneyer and Michal Bilick, followed by dinner. Learn how you can support refugees and asylum seekers, and take action by joining our new Service Collective.

The menu includes:

To start
Tilapia and grapefruit ceviche (GF)
Hummus with tatbila sauce, served with pita chips and veggies (vegan)

Dinner
Roasted chicken in lemon, rosemary, and garlic  (GF; vegan option – tofu in lemon, rosemary, and garlic)
Sides from around the world:
From Turkey: Kisir (bulgur pilaf) with onions, romaine lettuce hearts, tomato paste, lemon, and chili flakes*
From Eritrea: Hamli (sautéed collard greens) with onions, garlic, cilantro, and tomatoes; served with injera bread*
From Syria: Moussaka (grilled eggplant) with onions, garlic, tomato, cilantro, and bell peppers; served with pita bread*

Dessert
Chocolate babka
Vanilla ice cream with chocolate syrup (vegan)

The dinner provided will be kosher; kosher supervision is provided by the Baltimore-Washington Kashrut Council. Sixth & I is able to accommodate food needs specific to vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free, and dairy-free diets. Please contact Kira at least five days before the event if you have any of these dietary requirements.
