- This event has passed.
This class meets Wednesdays, January 10 – March 27 at 6:30 pm. Each session is 2 hours long. Class will meet in-person on January 10 and March 27 and the rest of the class will be virtual.
Demystify the Hebrew alphabet as you learn the letters and vowels and how to combine them to “crack the code.” This course introduces reading Hebrew in an enjoyable yet focused atmosphere. Emphasis is placed on reading from a prayer book and words from Jewish cultural life. The class is intended is for those with little to no prior Hebrew reading ability.
Due to the cumulative nature of literacy learning, students should plan to attend class regularly and spend 20 minutes daily on home practice. Participants will be responsible for purchasing the textbook on their own.
