Hergaddah
A Women's Seder
- This event has passed.
What makes a women’s seder different from all other seders? Jewish educator Sara Shalva leads an unconventional and updated approach to the traditional Passover celebration by incorporating contemporary feminist thought. Learn how to creatively and thoughtfully accent a seder in ways that speak to your multi-faceted identities as women.
We’ll replace the Maxwell House Haggadah with our original “Hergaddah,” and the retelling of the Exodus tale with personal stories of empowerment and liberation. This participatory and energetic evening will be filled with storytelling, food, wine, yoga, and music that might make you want to bust a move. Kosher dinner included.
Sara Shalva is a Jewish educator and nonprofit consultant who has taught at various Jewish communal gatherings including Tribefest, Hillel Institute, MASA Leadership Summit, Limmud NY, UK and Boston. She is also a full-time Bikram Yoga teacher.
