Holocaust Remembrance Day: Voices of History, Lessons for Today
- This event has passed.
On Yom HaShoah, virtually gather with communities around the world to remember the systematic persecution and murder of six million Jews and millions of other innocent people from a variety of ethnic, religious, and national backgrounds.
Hear important messages about the lasting impact of the Holocaust from survivor Halina (Litman) Yasharoff Peabody and direct descendants of other survivors, followed by the opportunity to discuss and reflect on the stories shared. The evening will close with prayer and a communal yahrzeit (memorial) candle lighting for which all are encouraged to simultaneously light candles of any kind in their own homes.
