In All Things Aside: Absolutely Correct Opinions, award-winning comedian, actor, writer, and producer Iliza Shlesinger shares a collection of hilarious and insightful essays about the exasperating issues of everyday life. From the macro to the micro, Shlesinger tackles it all with her no-BS comedic style.
Much like her comedy, Shlesinger makes her hilarious asides the meat of her stories. Topics range from dissecting social expectations and the notion that products marketed specifically to women are scams to asking the all-important question: Am I actually an annoying person? Shlesinger also shares intimate moments including a devastating miscarriage, which she manages to navigate with both grace and side-splitting humor. All Things Aside offers unexpected insights, much-needed truths, and page after page of laughs.
Shlesinger is the author Girl Logic: The Genius and the Absurdity and hosts the podcast “AIA: Ask Iliza Anything.” She has five stand-up specials on Netflix including “Edler Millennial” and “Unveiled,” and recently filmed her sixth. In 2022, she was included in Variety‘s Comedy Impact Report and Adweek‘s Creative 100, which highlights the year’s most innovative and inspiring people.
Iliza Shlesinger will be in conversation with Leila Fadel, a host of NPR’s “Morning Edition” as well as NPR’s morning news podcast “Up First.”
