This event is a part of our Collectives program. Collectives are lay-led groups for Jews in their 20s and 30s that meet monthly to discuss shared interests surrounding a given topic.

Whether you were born Jewish or converted to Judaism at any point along your life’s journey, if you are a racially or ethnically diverse Jew, you are welcome here. This month, we’ll work on telling our Jewish journey story with political speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz. Hurwitz currently works in the White House, where she’s written speeches for both President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama.

Before working at the White House, Hurwitz worked as a Senior Speechwriter on the Obama Campaign, as Chief Speechwriter on Senator Hillary Clinton’s Presidential Campaign, as Deputy Chief Speechwriter on the presidential campaigns of General Wesley Clark and Senator John Kerry, and as a speechwriter for Senator Tom Harkin. She is a graduate of Harvard College and Harvard Law School.
