Jews and Money: A Financial Empowerment Workshop
- This event has passed.
This class will be held on Wednesdays, January 24 and 31 at 7:00 pm.
The relationship between Jews and money is complicated. As a community, we are stereotyped as both stingy and extravagant, in control of the world’s banks and monetary policy. This is odd, especially considering that for many of us, we’re still figuring out the difference between a Roth IRA and a 401k.
In this two-session class, Rabbi Shira will lead text study and discussion to unpack some of our Jewish and familial money messages. Zach Teutsch of Values Added Financial will teach about basic investing and financial well-being strategies.
