Jordan Rakei

- This event has passed.
Described as “the next bright young hope of jazz,” Jordan Rakei is a rare talent with his timeless, soulful jazz and hip-hop-driven sound. Born in a quiet town in New Zealand, Rakei moved to Australia at the age of three, spending most of his childhood in Brisbane. The multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and producer hit the scene in 2014 with his EP “Groove Curse,” and he quickly made a name for himself in the UK with his 2016 self-released debut album, Cloak, and his second LP, Wallflower.
In his new record Origin, which includes singles “Say Something” and “Minds Eye,” Rakei was inspired by dystopian visions of our future, exploring technological growth and how it shapes our sense of humanity.
