Knowing We Are Loved: Trusting in Our True Nature
- This event has passed.
How much of our anxiety, shame, anger, and self-doubt springs from a lack of trust in our own basic alrightness, and what are we losing by not truly believing that we are lovable and deserving of love?
The Jewish contemplative tradition teaches us that, though we may not always feel it, we are held in an abiding and abundant love. Through text study, reflection, and practice, this class explores the possibility of our own lovability and ways to access our open, stable, clear and loving nature.
Rabbi James Jacobson-Maisels is the founder of Or HaLev: A Center for Jewish Spirituality and Meditation and has been studying and teaching meditation and Jewish spirituality for over 15 years. He teaches Jewish thought, mysticism, spiritual practices and meditation at the Pardes Institute of Jewish Studies, Haifa University, and Yeshivat Hadar.
