Sixth & I and DCist Present: Living Room Sessions
- This event has passed.
Broadcasted live from the artists’ living room, this show is part of Sixth & I’s new weekly concert series designed to shine a spotlight on the best local talent. Stream this set for free on our Facebook page and stay tuned as we announce more Living Room Sessions.
Brought up on the music of Tito Puente and Earth, Wind & Fire, Washington, DC native Knyves Escobar has always had a passion for creative self-expression. The R&B artist and cellist writes and produces her own music as a way to parse through and reflect on painful situations, but has found inspiration in being able to resonate with people who can relate to her own experiences.
If you can, please consider making a tax-deductible donation of any amount to support this series. Contributions will be shared equally between the artist and Black Mama’s Bail Out, a Black-led collective of organizers, lawyers, and activists building a community-based movement to end systems of mass incarceration.
