In America Farm to Table: Simple, Delicious Recipes Celebrating Local Farmers, the bestselling author and James Beard Award-winning chef and restaurateur pays homage to the American farmer – from Maine to California – in stories, photos, and more than a hundred recipes.
Batali sees farmers as the rock stars of the food world. In this new book, written with Washington Post journalist Jim Webster, he celebrates American farmers: their high quality products and their culture defined by hard work, integrity, and pride. Batali asks his chef friends from Nashville to San Francisco to tell him who their favorite farmers were, and those farmers graciously shared their personal stories along with their top-of-the-line produce and products.
Batali counts among his accomplishments 26 restaurants, nine cookbooks, numerous television shows, and two Eataly marketplaces. In conversation with Webster and Joe Yonan, the Food and Dining Editor of The Washington Post.
