MLK Shabbat: Visions of Freedom and Justice
- This event has passed.
At this in-person event (with a virtual attendance option), proof of vaccination and masks are required. Please review our health and safety protocols here.
This moving service with Turner Memorial AME Church, which worshipped in Sixth & I’s building for five decades, commemorates the spirit and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel. The service will feature soul-lifting music from Turner Memorial’s praise team and the Sixth & I musicians, plus words of inspiration from Rabbi Aaron and Reverend Doctor D.K. Kearney.
Before MLK Weekend, Rabbi Aaron and Reverend Doctor D.K. Kearney lead a virtual conversation about faith and justice as a part of Turner Memorial’s “Let’s Talk” series on Wednesday, January 12 at 7:00 pm. Plus, be sure to tune in for Turner Memorial’s virtual Sunday service on January 16 at 10:00 am.
This event has been generously underwritten by The Revada Foundation of the Logan Family.
