MLK Shabbat: Visions of Freedom and Justice
- This event has passed.
This moving service with Turner Memorial AME Church, which worshipped in Sixth & I’s building for five decades, commemorates the spirit and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Rabbi Abraham Joshua Heschel. The service will feature soul-lifting music from Turner Memorial’s praise team and the Sixth & I musicians, plus words of inspiration from Rabbi Aaron, Reverend Doctor D.K. Kearney, and Rachel Faulkner, a community organizer, justice advocate, and anti-racist educator. Stick around after the service for challah and dessert.
Be sure to tune in for Turner Memorial’s virtual Sunday service on January 15 at 10:00 am.
This event has been generously underwritten by The Revada Foundation of the Logan Family.
