Sara Houghteling
- This event has passed.
Set in a Paris darkened by World War II, Pictures at an Exhibition tells the story of a son’s quest to recover his family’s lost masterpieces—Picassos, Matisses, Monets—looted by the Nazis during the occupation. Houghteling spent a year in Paris on a Fulbright scholarship conducting research on wartime Paris, the art world, and the tragedy of looting by the Third Reich. Inspired by real-life events and figures, the author wove fact into a stunning work of debut fiction.
