Sixth & I (Virtual)
Sixth & I Need a Drink
With Julio Robledo and Pedro J. Rodríguez of Grand Cata
- This event has passed.
These days, it feels like we could all use a drink. In this virtual happy hour series, notable figures from DC’s vibrant culinary scene share how their businesses have been impacted during such a challenging time for the restaurant industry, creative solutions for staying afloat, and which spirits have kept them in good spirits—in conversation with Sixth & I staff. They’ll also demo how to make their favorite beverage so you can recreate it at home.
Grand Cata’s co-founders, Julio Robledo and Pedro J. Rodríguez, met in 2009 while working at a media development NGO in Washington, DC. Through their shared interests and passion for the wine, food, and culture of their respective Andean and Caribbean heritage, they became best friends and began developing the concept of their own business: a Latino wine company. They are both advanced certified Wine and Spirits professional by the Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET).
Sixth & I is committed to providing dynamic and entertaining programming while our building is closed, but we need your help to make this programming possible. If you can, please consider making a tax-deductible contribution of any amount. Donations will be shared evenly between Sixth & I and the Carlos Rosario program which provides adult immigrants with education and resources to create a better life for themselves and their families.
