On the day after the greatest number of states (16) hold their presidential primaries and caucuses, the founding team behind Punchbowl News—Anna Palmer, Jake Sherman, and John Bresnahan—will take stock of the results and reflect on what they signal for the presidential, House, Senate, gubernatorial, state, and local elections coming up on November 5, 2024.
Palmer has long covered congressional leadership, the lobbying industry, presidential campaigns, and the politics of governing. Previously, she was the senior Washington correspondent for POLITICO, where she was the co-author, along with Sherman, of the POLITICO Playbook franchise. Sherman’s coverage of national politics has focused on Congress, the congressional leadership, and the politics of legislating. Bresnahan, the former congressional bureau chief at POLITICO, has covered Congress, the White House, and federal agencies for nearly three decades.
