Take on the Talmud
- This event has passed.
This class meets on Mondays, March 18 and 25 from 7:00 – 8:30 pm.
The Talmud—one of the most important texts in Jewish life—is over 1,500 years old, covers 5,422 pages through 37 volumes, and is written primarily in Aramaic. This famously rich, famously difficult text is the magnum opus of all Jewish thought and practice, covering every imaginable topic: ritual life, ethics, civil law, sex, philosophy, civil discourse, and more.
Over two nights with Rabbi Jesse, dive into the wisdom and moving stories of the Talmud and learn the surprising ways it can teach us about living a life of meaning and purpose. No prior experience required.
No one will be turned away from any of our classes due to lack of funds. For more information, please contact our Religious Programming Associate, Annie.
