What it Takes: Torah Study
- This event has passed.
This class meets Mondays, April 5, 12, 19, and 26.
If Jews are people of the text, and the Torah is our foundational text, how are we meant to understand it? How do we make meaning out of a text that can be at once revelatory and tedious, meaningful and deeply offensive? Explore ancient and contemporary approaches to Torah study with Rabbi Rachel Schmelkin. Write your own commentary, adding your voice to the pantheon of rabbis and regular folk who have deepened, nuanced, and struggled with Torah over the millennia.
