Combining spirituality, psychology, modern masculinity, and excellent bourbon, Rabbi Scott brings a group of men together to attempt some thoughtfulness about the new scientific advances in the area of “feelings.”
Downtown Shabbat: Memorial Day Edition
A Carlebach-inspired service led by Chazzan Larry Paul and musician Robyn Helzner, followed by dinner and Shabbat singing. During the service, the names of the more than 50 fallen heroes will be read in solemn remembrance and prayer. Enjoy appetizers and cocktails before the 6:45 pm service.

The 6th in the City Chorus performs a mix of old and new songs with choirs from Turner Memorial AME Church (which worshiped in Sixth & I’s building for nearly five decades) and the Metropolitan AME Church.

Prepare your mind and body for Shabbat with Jewish-inspired yoga and meditation with yoga teacher Dan Kapner. Nama-stay for services following the class; yoga attire is welcome during the service.
6th in the City Shabbat: National Pride Edition
On the night before the Capital Pride Parade, Rabbi Shira, Rabbi Laurie Green of Bet Mishpachah, and members of GLOE lead an inclusive service that celebrates the diversity of DC Jewish life, followed by dinner.
