With Around My French Table, the renowned cookbook author and baker changed the way Americans view French food. Now, in Baking Chez Moi: Recipes from My Paris Home to Your Home Anywhere, Dorie Greenspan explores the world of French desserts, bringing together an uncomplicated combination of contemporary recipes that emphasize the French knack for elegant simplicity.

Five years ago, Dorie went in search of what she called her “Ph.D. in pastry.” She quickly realized that she was drawn to the simplest sweets—the home-baked cakes, tarts, pastries, and cookies. Baking Chez Moi—with nearly 200 recipes from several regions of France—is a collection of radically simple desserts inspired by years of travel through France, incorporating the country’s traditions, specialties, and seasonal ingredients as well as the recipes shared by talented home bakers and pastry chefs.

Called a “culinary guru” by the New York Times, Dorie is a three-time James Beard Foundation award winner and the author of ten cookbooks. She has collaborated with many celebrated chefs, among them Julia Child.

In conversation with Sally Swift, a James Beard winner for Best National Radio Show and the managing producer and co-creator of The Splendid Table. Book signing to follow.
