The Hardest Conversation

Session 3: Occupation

After the 1967 war, Israel gained control of East Jerusalem, the West Bank (also known as Judea and Samaria) and Gaza. The resulting fifty years of military control alternately present a moral offense, a humanitarian crisis, a necessary evil, or an affirmation of God’s plan for greater Israel. This class will cover Israeli and Palestinian perspectives on Israeli administration of these areas, including discussion of refugee camps and the separation wall.
